Don’t Do Any Internet Marketing In West Palm Beach Until You Read This Article    by Ryan Steinolfson

If your trying to do some local marketing in West Palm Beach then you probably realize that it is becoming more difficult to get
results from your marketing efforts. The problem is that people are not using the traditional advertising mediums any more. Local businesses that are marketing in the yellow pages are getting a fraction of the results they got from that medium in the past. According to a local business owner in West Palm Beach that markets on the yellow pages: “using the yellow pages for my west palm beach marketing efforts has gotten me little to no results” Les Trafelet.

The reason why local businesses in West Palm Beach that are marketing in the yellow pages are getting less business from their yellow page advertising is because people are searching more and more in Google to find a local businesses (like plumber west palm beach) and not the yellow pages. What this means is that you can spend thousands of dollars in yellow page advertising and not get any results and even worse you can start doing some marketing online by using Google advertising and not get any results because all your doing is sending your prospective client back to your web page where they can get confused and overwhelmed by all the choices and not a landing page where there is a simple clear message like join our email marketing list or fan our Facebook Fanpage etc.

I had mentioned earlier that some people turn to Google advertising as a quick fix and my response to that is
why pay Google for advertising when Google is already serving up local information in it free search results (people are up to five times more likely to click on the free results than the paid for advertising anyway), as a matter of fact even if somebody is not typing in local words Google will still give you local search results back. So why are you not taking advantage of this FREE advertising opportunity, especially when we know that 60% of all local searches on Google turn into a sale.

There are three solutions to the West Palm Beach marketing problem that I talked about before: article marketing, podcast marketing and video marketing.

Strategy 1 – Article marketing: The article that you are reading right now is an example of article marketing. What I did first is, I posted this article to my blog (a very important first step is to get a blog because we know that “companies with a blog average 68% more customers than companies that don’t have a blog” – HubSpot and then I broadcasted the article out to about 250 different article directories to increase my local marketing reach.

Stratety 2 – Podcast marketing: Podcasting allows you to create your own private channel for your customers. What happens is that when somebody finds value in your content they subscribe to your podcast feed so that every time they login to ITunes they automatically get whatever new podcast you have uploaded. That podcast can be an audio file, a video file, or even a pdf, so your customer has many ways to consume your content. The final reason why you want to deliver your content via podcast is because we know that “60% of Podcast users make over $50,000 per year” so the podcast user tends to be an affluent customer.

Strategy 3 – Video marketing: Video marketing allows you to tap into the medium on the internet that is “about 60% of all internet traffic” – Hubspot. Not only are there a lot of people using this new medium but it is a great way for you to develop a know, like, and trust relationship with your potential customer before they ever walk in the door to meet you. Finally, the other great thing about video is that Google is showing video thumbnail pictures in the Google search results. What do you think somebody is going to click on when they are searching for something on the internet, a picture, or a text link that looks like a tax audit???? I think somebody is going to click on the pretty picture myself.
